Our History :  Judith Anderson founded A&R when Stolt-Neilson, a leading logistics company, offered: “If you ever want to start a consulting business, I have a job for you.”  As her current job was being eliminated, she went for it.  Jim Rust became A&R’s first associated partner in 1991 bringing world class mathematical modeling skills.  Through 2004, A&R focused on logical modeling, answering questions such as “How many bakeries does Burger King need, and where should they be located?” and “How do we get all the parts to arrive at an automotive engine plant just in time?”

Some A&R clients asked Judith and Jim to facilitate internal teams charged with solving problems, for example: “How do we cut our manufacturing costs by 30%?”  Judith became increasingly interested in team dynamics and in 1999, added a Master’s of Psychology to her credentials. She began working with others in the firm to design the ‘Goal Acceleration’ coaching program for leaders and leadership teams.  In 2001, other partners joined A&R to deliver the goal acceleration program, including Peggy Nagae A& West Coast lead, Susan Steiner, who coordinates European projects and George Fleming in North Carolina.  Today, delivering A&R’s Goal Acceleration program world-wide is the primary focus of the firm.

Operations in the Allendale, NJ central office are managed by Amy Wilczynski who contributes as project manager on client projects. All of A&R Associates, fondly known as “The Musketeers,” meet monthly to support, encourage and learn from one another.
