Fear is different from an instinctive warning (immediate urgency). It’s helpful to catch fear, nervousness, trepidation and so forth, or it will drive automatic reactions. What’s helpful is a simple internal strategy, such as take a breath and say to yourself ‘good catch…it’s OK to feel fear…everyone does’. Then choose your response.
